PERSONNEL:

James H. Hancock PRESIDENT: Jim earned his Industrial Engineering degree from the University of South Florida in 1984, attending full time after 19 years of experience in the construction industry. His wide range of experience includes a practical career in construction, management of contractors and construction workers, mitigation of loss, Surety claims handling and adjusting, and asset and indemnity investigations. A sampling of projects involves industrial applications in wastewater and phosphate mining. Commercial applications include hospitals, Walt Disney World Theme Park, shopping centers, banks, schools, general building construction, and specialty work such as baseball stadiums, public parks, and highway and bridge construction. He has significant experience in litigation support and has provided expert testimony for our clients on delay claims, construction matters and Surety's good faith efforts.

R. Ed Hancock, CPA, CFE  CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER: Ed is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the sate of Florida and also holds the professional designation of Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). Ed has a BA in Criminology from the University of South Florida and a Masters of Business Administration Accounting from the University of Phoenix. Ed's background and experience include evaluating and handling complex financial situations related to fidelity bond investigations and the financial aspects of surety bond claims. He is able to assist clients with financial statement analysis, business valuations, overhead analysis and initial financial investigations. Ed is adept at evaluating and handling payment claims and administering trust accounts, and provides asset location services including indentifying real property, tangible property and bank account balances. On the fidelity side, Ed has handled a wide variety of Financial Institution Bond claims, Commercial Crime claims and miscellaneous bond claims.

Donald E. Cooke, P.E. OPERATIONS MANAGER: Don has accrued more than 25 years experience in Construction Management and other construction related activities. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Georgia Tech in 1968 and then became a Registered Professional Engineer. In addition to Don's Surety experience, he has helped direct construction management projects where his responsibilities included: liaison between contractors, architects and clients, estimating and negotiating construction costs, and progress and quality of construction evaluation. He has a talent for assessing a contractor's needs and priorities along with the outstanding ability to deal with subcontractors. Don's strength in Surety matters is a result of his extensive experience in supervision and wide knowledge of the construction industry.

William E. Craft, Jr. CONSULTANT: Bill joined Surety & Construction Consultants after 24 years in the construction industry. Bill earned his Bachelor's degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Florida in 1984, interrupting his construction career to attend college full time. Ten years of Bill's experience was in owning and operating his commercial construction company, six years in the United States Air Force, and the balance in electrical construction, asphalt paving and landfill projects, and surveying, drafting and conducting layout operations. Bill has additional experience as an Office Engineer and as a licensed General Contractor in the State of Florida.

Robert A. Golden OPERATIONS MANAGER: Bob graduated in 1977 from Onondaga Community College in Syracuse, New York with an Associate of Architecture degree and has been involved in both construction and the investigation of all aspects of building construction. Bob's experience in general architecture followed by involvement with Department of Transportation projects form the foundation of his work history. He obtained extensive experience with a general contractor constructing major buildings and facilities. Bob is a licensed Florida General Contractor and handles many large litigation support matters in the Southeastern portion of the United States. Contract Surety claims, construction management assignments, and cost-to-complete evaluations make up a major portion of Bob's services to our clients. His extensive construction experience enables him to furnish our clients with clear, concise reports and recommendations while his administrative and management skills provide for a practical approach.

Jeffrey S. Kidwell, P.E. SENIOR CONSULTANT: Jeff received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 1986. He received a Master of Science in Civil Engineering with a major in Construction Management from Georgia Institute of Technology in 1993. Jeff is a Registered Professional Engineer. Jeff's professional experience includes design and construction of public private projects. His public projects range from schools and parks to airports and major bridges. Private projects include shopping centers, residential subdivisions, and industrial parks. Jeff's strengths are quality and cost control, schedule adherence, and overall project management. His diverse background of engineering and construction provides a broad understanding of the construction process.
